To help members deal with the added stresses and strains of working in a post-pandemic environment, as well as with the everyday pressures that can impact working life, the DDU is proud to launch our new health and wellbeing helpline.

Benefits

Available to all DDU members with immediate effect, and provided by Peninsula Business Services, the new helpline gives members access to a quick, confidential and highly professional service to help deal with whatever life throws at them.

It can help support them with issues such as:

stress and anxiety at home or work
mental health conditions
financial wellbeing including debt
family and relationship matters
bereavement support
gambling issues
alcohol and drug problems.

Through this service, members can access counselling support from experts from a range of ethnic, cultural and disciplinary backgrounds who work within the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy's ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy, as well as qualified nurses who are on hand to offer advice on a range of medical or health related issues.

To access this service, members can call the confidential helpline number 0330 678 1223 and simply state that they are a DDU member.
